Dr Peter Scott MB BCh MRCP FRACP MD
Dr Peter Scott is a general and interventional cardiologist and performs procedures at National Capital Private Hospital, Calvary Bruce Private Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. He trained at leading cardiac centres in the UK and Australia including King’s College Hospital in London and the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. His career includes senior leadership roles, overseeing major cardiac services and developing innovative models of patient care. Before relocating to Canberra in 2018, he directed a large cardiac catheterisation laboratory in the UK, serving a population of more than 850,000 people.
Dr Scott has extensive experience in cardiac catheterisation, including IVUS, OCT, FFR and Rotablation techniques. He also performs advanced cardiac imaging and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closures for stroke prevention.
He brings deep expertise across cardiac procedures and a strong commitment to supporting patients with accessible, evidence-based cardiology care.
